Robert Gelberg

Development Associate

RG PictureRobert Gelberg is proud to be serving as TACT’s Development Associate. Previous to this position, Robert served as Healing Arts Initiative’s Development Manager where he oversaw a comprehensive redesign of the company’s website and online presence. Additionally, he was HAI’s Social Media coordinator and was responsible for the organization’s individual giving strategy that included an audit and reworking of all company communications. Robert began his career in in Minneapolis where he worked on the development teams at the Guthrie Theater and Frank Theater.
Robert’s career in development began as an offshoot of his interest in theatre. As a playwright, Robert’s work has been performed in Minneapolis, New York, London, and Dublin. One critic labeled his writing “Samuel Beckett meets Kevin Smith.” He is currently the inaugural Playwright-In-Residence at the Montclair Kimberley Academy. As an actor, Robert was fortunate enough to play his dream roles of Jerry in “The Zoo Story” and Pseudolus in “A Funny Thing…” as a high school student, so he’s done for now.
Robert holds an MFA in Playwriting from Trinity College Dublin and a BA in English with a minor in Religious Studies from Macalester College.
