David Broome

Adjunct Company Member since 2015/16 season.

David has experimented and performed in nearly every genre and his recitals of solo and chamber repertoire, as well as his own improvisations, have been heard in America and across Europe.  The NY Times has described him as a “deft and focused” performer.  A devoted performer of new music, David worked with many renowned composers such as Meredith Monk, Martin Bresnick, David Lang, and Michael Gordon.  Awards: the Liebermann Scholarship, Sandborn Competition, Baltimore Music Club Award. Tours:  Peabody Sinfonia to England, Iceland and Scotland.  David worked as the Music Director and organist at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Baltimore and he also worked as the music director and pianist in professional and children’s musical theater productions.  David holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Towson University and a Master’s Degree at the Manhattan School of Music.
