SYNOPSIS |
Style, pretense, and appearances are the values Mrs. Tiffany and her daughter, Seraphina, live and die for; they speak French ("There is a jenny-says-quoi look about this furniture."); they have an unfailing fashion sense ("Age is always out of fashion."); and they love all things foreign. But who shall Seraphina marry? The society poet, Mr. Twinkle, the taciturn Mr. Fogg, or the plotting Mr. Snobson? Enter the Count Jolimaitre and all bets are off in this hilarious 19th Century American comedy. |
