SYNOPSIS |
Rose Trelawny, the best female ingenue the theatre at Bagnigge-Wells has ever seen, is giving up the profession to marry in to the gentry. Can this be wise? Will Cavendish Square affect the dear sweet Rose? Or will Rose affect Cavendish Square? And what will happen to the company of loony theatricals? Written in the 1890s, Pinero's comedy recalls the bygone time of England's theatrical life of the early 1860s. |
