The Chalk Garden

The Chark Garden
Show Business
John Rowell
March 12, 2004

? HOW DOES YOUR GARDEN GROW? I?m always thrilled when theater companies make it part of their mission to stage neglected or rarely produced plays, and TACT, The Actors Company Theatre, is one of the best in New York at doing just that. TACT also believes in plays with strong literary merit, which is an added plus, so from March 13-15, the company will present a production of Enid Bagnold?s high comedy The Chalk Garden, about a groups of eccentric types in an English country manor house. Directed by John Christopher Jones, the cast includes company members Cynthia Harris, Simon Jones, Darrie Lawrence and Mary Bacon, and performances take place at the Florence Gould Hall at the French Institute on E. 59th St. For more info, visit www.TACTnyc.org.
